Michael Gove's speech just before yesterdays Vote of No - Confidence was probably one of the best speeches in the Commons since Winston Churchill's days.
It had humour, it had targeted facts and it had one big attack on Jeremy Corburn. Magnificant speech.
But please, Tory Members, we don't want him as the next leader of your party. eek

Doubt if Boris will get a look in if May is forced out Am I right in thinking she has lost more Commons votes than any other sitting PM?

Gove has all the attributes to be a Conservative PM, arrogant, ruthless and not afraid to knife rivals in the back, ideal. As for Rudd, she gives of the air of a prostitute who hasn't quite grasped what the job entails HuhHuh

Diana Abbott says that how she was treated on Question Time was a disgrace.
She says that since David Dimbleby left the programmes turned into a political Jeremy Kyle Big Grin

The only disgrace is that Abbott is allowed out in public without guards. She's completely certifiable.

Abbott complains about her treatment on QT but by whom exactly? criticism from members of the audience I guess but I watched the programme & she does justifiably at times court criticism when she constantly puts her foot in her mouth (which is a lot) & it has nothing to do with her race or gender she's just inept pure & simple. In truth regarding QT I did have reservations about Fiona Bruce replacing Dimbleby as I find her a bit too softly spoken & I didn't think she was the type of person who would call out a politician or panelist for talking 'bollocks' like Dimbleby did.But she's been okay so I'll hold my reservations for the moment plus its's only 2 episodes since Dimbleby departed. It may be better served for MP's like Abbott (Emily Thornberry & Dawn Butler) who are obsessed with appearing on a multitude of media outlets providing many car-crash tv moments spend less time on them or have have some sort of interpreter to explain the bs.

It's a saying I fucking hate but I guess I am one of those 'politically homeless voters' that people often talk about as I'm pretty dismayed & disillusioned by the caliber of politicians on all sides of the House that resembles a rotten looking apple on the outside thats even more rotten at it's core.Career politicians in safe seats for years & even decades not ever having to face political competition breeds politicians like Abbott (to name just a few of many) as well as disillusionment in politics. Being 'politically homeless' means when at election time it becomes merely a case of voting for the lesser of two evils where if it's a choice between Theresa May,Boris Johnson, Dominic Grieve & Anna Soubry or Jeremy Corbyn,Dianne Abbott,Dawn Butler & David Lammy in a two party system is like choosing your own method of execution when your walking down the 'Green Mile'.And I shudder at the thought of Corbyn as PM & Dianne Abbott as Home Secretary in a scenario which reminds me of the famous film quote 'Be Afraid,Be very Afraid!'.
