So Liverpool get it back to one point again and put the pressure back on City. It was touch and go earlier with Burnley grabbing a fluke goal from a routine corner kick thanks to Allison flapping at it(I was listening on TalkSport btw) and then Liverpool started to play their game and I fully expect Salah to get that elusive 50th goal at some point, maybe against our next team Fulham. You would think that would be an easier game and especially with Fulham all but down and out of the Premier League, so that game will be crucial for points and goals. Next up Bayern Munich, now that is going to be a humdinger and we will need to be on our mettle especially with Salah, Firmino and Mané firing well in Europe. Let's hope Liverpool can finish that job and continue their good run in the Champions League.

Burnley defender Tarkowski put both hands on Allison's shoulders to both impede & out jump him which was a clear foul & how it wasn't noticed by the linesman of referee Andre Mariner I'll never know,in all fairness it was a brilliantly taken corner.The strong gales made long passing a lot harder but Mane was MOTM for me taking both goals well & looking a real threat on the attack.I was pleased Firminho got his brace though they were both tap-in from rebounds but it's still a case of being in the right place at the wrong time but Burnley's 2nd goal in injury time was sloppily conceded.

Fuck Gary Neville's advice calling for Liverpool to go out of the CL & concentrate on the PL title we are only an away goal (or two) from a quarter final spot where big guns like PSG,Real Madrid & possibly Juventus are absent.

Yes sometimes Gary Neville has not thought out what to say before he says it. I didn't hear that bit about Tarkowski so it sounds like Liverpool were unlucky. Mariner is not that bad a referee, there are others worse than him. I still want to see/hear Salah get that 50th goal and yes conceding a silly goal in extra time wasn't clever but 4-2 win is good and as I said it only keeps us 1 point away from Man City. However it was pointed out that City will always be ahead of us in terms of when their games are to ours, so we will be playing catch up each time but maybe they will slip up-the Man Utd game will be a key game and for the first time ever I will be hoping that Utd beat City.

Bayern have been playing a little subdued but Mane rounds Neur by the edge of the 18 yard box in a tangle with his defenders & hits a sublime chip in the 27th min for the crucial away goal.Get in.

Liverpool have a really good chance to win this because now Bayern need 2 goals so if Liverpool could score another it would make it even harder for Bayern. Shame we've lost Henderson which if it is bad could stop him from being in the England squad let alone the Liverpool side.

It is squeaky-bum time for Liverpool, we need ONE more goal to make it certain but 1-1 is good enough for us to progress. I'd like another goal to make it easier to listen to because at the moment I am on the edge of my seat listening to the game.

A bullet header by Van Dijk from a Milner cross in the 69th minute to put us 2-1 up. Liverpool's passing has been poor but Bayern don't look the force of old Bayern need another 2 goals to qualify now.

YES!! Another goal for Van Dijk-worth the 75m we paid for him? I'd say so. I would love to hear that Salah has scored, that 50th goal seems to be eluding him but I don't know if he has something on his mind but at least he was smiling in the last game. I hope he finds his shooting boots soon.
