The demise of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

Thank fuck a decision has been made to permanently cancel the show.
Having heard a former guest died due to Kyle's typical grilling it's about bloody time!!!

Yes agreed. But it probably does means This morning will probably get more air time or they fill in with kids stuff.

Surely all they did was copy the US's version of the jerry Springer Show? Confrontational television like just shows how low some TV companies will go to get ratings. Good riddance to very bad rubbish. Why the smeg would anyone want to go on a show like that and air their 'dirty laundry' in public.?

Surely the money/exposure was never worth it. I think it was a badge of honour, like an ASBO. I only ever watched one episode to see what the fuss was about, car crash tv at its worst, people that were broken and all very aggressive and confrontational. Shows like it shouldn't exist.

It was a nasty programme predicated on humiliating the poorest and most vulnerable people, for entertainment on national TV. They even had the cheek to try to dress it up as helping people. it was bear-baiting with humans.

Sure, no-one was forced to go on the show, but their capacity to give fully informed consent I doubt was explored in any meaningful way, and I'll wager the risk assessments were inadequate.

The Coroner's Inquest into the death will be an evisceration of the show and the producers and the broadcaster. This will be a game changer in the industry for Reality TV and how Duty of Care is applied in the broadcast field.

ITV decided to distance themselves from the programme, probably because it could affect their advertisement revenues.

So goodbye Jeremy Kyle Show. You won't be missed

Looks like Love Island is returning so they won't scrap that, they think the sun shines out of their collective talentless arses so Ant and Dec and iacgmooh won't be going away either and I thought TOWIE had finished?

suicides on love island should make the gov force them to close down...programmes need to come with a healt warning, social media is a healh dirty bomb waiting to go off....generation coming thru dont realise their was a world before internet....blessing and a devil the internet
