I think personally we should not only leave the EU but leave Eurovision and avoid being humiliated time after time by people who think a bunch of gothic trolls or russian grannies can make a better tune than the country that gave the world The Beatles and the Spice Girls etc.

The only reason we don't get votes is because we never enter with anything decent. Last year after the judges voting we were in the bottom 4 (can
't remember exactly which position0 But when the publics votes were added we jumped into the top half. All this crap about nobody likes us is just sour grapes. Look at Belgium (a decent entry this year but not qualified) they never do well. It's not only us

Didn't help our cause that some protestor jumped up on stage near poor old SuRie scaring her half to death and putting her off. I only watch our bit anyway and then the voting-my sister used to record it religiously using a tape recorder and god help anyone who interrupted her-that was then, but now she can't watch it that much either. Another reason is that nowadays we don't take it as seriously as the rest of Europe. Mind you I don't care that much either what they think.

According to the bookies, the Netherlands are favourites to win at 3/1, followed by Sweden at 6/1 and Russia at 7/1.

The UK entry’s best odds that I could find were at 150/1 and worst at 200/1

Another year in the bottom 6 I reckon.

For me we should have withdrawn from it years ago.

Looks like both Greece and Cyprus have both qualified for the final.
No prizes for guessing where their douze points go .

Totally agree, we should have quit years ago, it's got way too daft and too much bloc voting goes on too for my liking. Maybe next year if we can get Iron Maiden to do it, we might stand a chance! At least Eddie might get us the douze point we badly need!! But to be honest, if the bloody Aussies win, then, we'd have to get up in the middle of thr bloody night to watch it!! I would not be surprised if President Trump was to make an application for the US to join in, then that would really f**k the whole thing up!! I'm pretty sure it is watched in the US.

It doesn't help that we pay to get to the final. The other countries records get support during the semis.

It seems to be that we are content to have someone in the final but don't want to win it as we would have the expense in running it the year after.
If we had to go through the heats the BBC would make sure that we had a decent record.

Such fun! Iceland have made it with a pop techno tune called Hate will Prevail(yes very Eurovision that) and Austslia are back having made it too and they score more points than us every time. Someone called DJ Derude failed though so a bit of a choker that boom bang a bang!!
