US Election & Presidency

A report by the United Nations Trade and Development Conference predicts that as companies in the United States and China reorganise their production, as a result of Trump's trade war, the country that will seek to gain the most will be none other than Mexico, with an estimated $27Bn increase in trade.

So instead of making Mexico pay for the $5bn wall he's actually making them all richer, hell they could pay for the wall now anyway and still be up $22bn thanks to Trump's shenanigans. Other countries that seek to do well are Canada, Japan and South Korea as they are all major economies that are neighbours/allies or both with the US and China.

While Mexico is the single country that will benefit the most it's figure is dwarfed by the market which will gain the most, The European Union, which The UN predicts will benefit in trade to the tune of $70bn. Add that to the divorce settlement they get from us and it's about to rain in the Single Market.

Of course if there is a No Deal and we withhold the £39bn ($49bn), The European Union will get to watch as The United States carves up our universal health care system knowing that theirs is intact and they are still $21bn up despite losing out on the divorce settlement. That's if they don't take us to The International Court of Justice to get the divorce bill out of us if we refuse to pay post no deal, which they will.

He appears to have softened his stance on the NHS being part of any trade deal....I'll believe it when I see though god forbid if either of those c**ts Hunt or Gove were PM the NHS would be sold off in some dodgy backhander deal.

We should threaten to shut down McDonalds here if he U-turns again.

he claims he doesn't know Michael Gove very well - somebody should remind him that they have met - the Environment Secretary interviewed the then president-elect at Trump Tower for a story published in The Times in January 2017.

Not now he's threatening new, across the board, tariffs.

The Senate will vote him down but there's no guarantee the vote will be high enough to be veto-proof.

Thing are bad enough when we have Virgin running some of the existing services.

It's the US drug companies that want into the NHS so they can manipulate the buying system from within. The buying power of the NHS is such that they are able to buy at a much cheaper rate than the drug companies can charge customers in their home market (USA).

If Trump gets into the NHS, the service won't get cheaper, just the opposite.
