RE: NFL 2009/10
After the shambles that was the Oakland offense on sunday,i've decided to pretend that week 3 didn't happen.JaMarcus Russell was awful,2 ints in the first half resulted in The Black Hole booing and jeering him so bad The Raiders gave up on the passing game in the second half!!! I've been trying to think about what The Raiders do with him,do they bench him? if Jeff Garcia was still on the roster i'd say " yeah, bench him 'til he gets his confidence back" but with Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye backing him up i don't see this being an upgrade, and the damage done too Russells psyche could be irreversible. With the next two games being away from The Coliseum,at The Texans and at The Giants, hopefully the pressure will be lifted a bit,and he can show like he did at the back-end of last season that he can be a starting QB in the NFL. Poolieguy01,the thought of Jon Gruden and Dan Snyder working together although Sourpuss Shanahan (Raider bias aside) could work.I think that Bill Cowher would be my choice though.

(29-09-2009 12:51 )whothat Wrote: yad think wed be able to run the ball, last year we wernt to bad getting it rolling.
the o line again is the source of the problem, albeit russell has been dire,we dont really have any receiver either
but between fargas and mcfadden we should atleast be able to establish the run[/align]
The running game is struggling with opposing defences playing 8 defenders in the box, with the receivers constantly failing to get free of coverage, defences can crowd the line of scrimmage without fear of giving up a big play from a long pass.Injuries havn't helped either with Robert Gallery breaking his leg against The Chiefs,we're missing our finest blocker,Justin Fargas only touched the ball 3 times on sunday as they ease him back in after he missed most of pre-season and the first 2 games due to injury. The worry is Darren McFadden has developed a case of fumblitis (4 times so far this season),also i don't think it helps we don't have a recognised offensive coordinator, with head-coach Tom Cable calling the running plays and passing coordinator Ted Tollner calling the passing plays,it's got to create confusion at a time when decisive management is needed.
