What did their accounts in 2006 and 2005 say? Did they make any profit in those years?

No!

Info on the co's website go back to 2002 & losses were made every year up to 2008 when they only made a profit because of selling off the channel slots.

2002 lost £68k
2003 lost £713k
2004 lost £706k
2005 lost £724k
2006 lost £3519k
2007 lost £2156k
2008 lost £1027k before the channel sale profit

Not a great company to have invested in then!

Maybe the shareholders received some perks. Wink

I know nothing about finances, but going on those figures it looks like they've been steadily making less loss over the past three years. In fact, if that trend continues, 2009 should be a 'break even' year, more or less, then the forecast for 2010 could even be profit shocked Wink. It'll be interesting to see the 2009 amount, anyway.

Just Found This Dated June 9, 2009

http://www.broadbandtvnews.com/2009/06/0...icipation/

Last year’s sale of two EPG positions to Discovery Channel netted Cellcast £1.2 million, which helped compensate for losses in Asia, and deliver pre-tax profits of £180,000. This compares to a loss of £2.16m a year earlier.

Only thing I will say is, not always what we see is as black and white as it looks. I know of a shit load of companies who on their books say "financially valueless" ect when I know for a fact the owner(s) are rolling in the money.

They do have 4 or 5 shareholding companies who may just have the money to keep pumping into company by using their other companies profits to fund it or even just rich blokes with cold, hard cash in the bank?

Something has been keeping them going for this long, so i'd imagine that they're alright for money, otherwise the administrators would have been called in and wouldn't let them continue making losses if they couldn't service their debt(s).

Thanks for all the interesting facts and figures guys. Had great enjoyment reading all that(nt being sarcy lol)
It's all chinese to me, but I understood seom of it. Basically cellcast aren't making enough money! And are going to try and find a way to get more money from us!! Has anyone downloaded the ipod apps yet? They have some shite reviews, so i'm a little sceptical bout it.
