RE: Last film you watched
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban(2004). Progressively getting darker in content and sees the three main characters growing up as young teens with all three making engaging performances. A whole host of big names in this with Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, Timothy Spall along with Julie Walters, Mark Williams, Maggie Smith and Alan Rickman and a new Dumbledore in Sir Michael Gambon(Richard Harris from the first two films had died) Clever story idea with all the threads neatly knitted together towards the end of the film. Emma Thompson as Sybil Trelawney is very funny and even Lenny Henry & Dawn French have fun with their cameo roles(Henry as a shrunken head on the Knight Bus and Dawn French as the new Fat Lady-Elizabeth Spriggs had also passed away having been the Fat Lady in the first film) Genuinely scary scenes for kids but great fun and some good effects. 9/10

RE: Last film you watched
Decided to finally catch up with the final film Avengers-ENDGAME which I wasn't able to see last year and avoided ANYTHING to do with it that might spoil my enjoyment. I must say at just over 3hrs it was a heck of a long film but worth waiting for because it threw everything at it, every single MARVEL hero was in it and some of the scenes were poignant, funny, moving and exciting, which is exactly what you want from a film of this nature.
All the main characters were featured and at least two don't make it, but I won't spoil for anyone who is yet to see it. Suffice to say it is worth seeing and with the music and special effects not overwhelming the action, this film, in fact all of the trilogy of films, is destined for cult status in the future. As to the future of MARVEL now Stan Lee has passed on, well who knows what with the first transgender hero and maybe the first Asian one to come, things are a-changing, but possibly that might help this franchise flourish. Overall 9.5/10

The Palm Beach Story(1942)
A brilliant screwball comedy from Preston Sturges starring Joel McCrea and Claudette Colbert as a couple who decide that splitting up is the only way to solve their financial woes. The final twist is a inspired as the performances from the cast.
