For me it's not so much the adverts themselves but their frequency. And duration.
I read a few months ago that OFCOM had authorised more minutes of adverts per hour and I've noticed that some programmes like The Sweeney now spill over the hour. That show and others have of course already been slashed to ribbons.
And of course the advert break is in many cases bookended by something where they tell me who sponsors the programmes that evening.

Anyone have a top ten list of ads they hate yet?
