RE: Last film you watched
(21-01-2020 13:43 )Skyline Wrote: Rambo: Last Blood (2019).
I really was hoping this next installment in the Rambo franchise (and going by the title, presumably the last entry in the franchise) would be better than some of the negative reviews that I had read about it prior to watching it but sadly I found this movie not up to the grade that one might expect when comparing it to either First Blood (the original installment) or Rambo: First Blood Part II. The movie was slow going in places and apart from a few good death scenes (Rambo style ) then this, sadly is one to miss. It picks up slightly in the second half of the movie and it is great to see Stallone back as the iconic John Rambo but perhaps with a better script and story, this could've been so much better imo. 5/10.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019).
This is another movie I was similarly unimpressed with, the acting from Pitt and DiCaprio are excellent and it does have a lot of familiar faces in it but again I found certain parts of the film entertaining and, as always with a Tarantino movie, the dialogue is excellent at times, but I found the whole thing below par. Worth a look but nothing really to shout about imo. 6/10.
A Quiet Place (2018).
This I found to be the best film out of the three movies in this list. The acting is great, although slow going at times, it has an atmospheric, post-apocalyptic look to it. I'm a big fan of action Sci-Fi movies, such as Aliens and although this is a Sci-Fi movie in a similar vein to Alien (the original Xenomorph movie ) with the slow and eerily suspenseful, impending doom, nature to it, I found it quite gripping. Without giving away any spoilers, sound is something that is dangerous to people so a lot of the movie has that quiet tone but suspenseful drama to it. Definitely worth a look and I'm looking to watching part 2 when it's released.

RE: Last film you watched
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) been ages since I saw this but once again the darkness descended on Hogwarts with Death Eater Malfoy doing despicable deeds with his mother and Belatrix Lestrange(last seen in Order of the Phoenix) the three main characters evolved again this time dealing with more teenage angst like love(Harry and Ginny Weasley, and Hermione and Ron) and a side story about a stolen love potion. Alan Rickman is brilliant as Snape again and Mkchael Gambon has fun with Dumbledore again although he is killed off at the end. Jim Broadbent another superb actor is good as Professor Horace Slughorn who holds a dark secret. All in all much, much darker for kids to watch although rated 12 and holding clues to the next film, which was so big as a book it was split into two parts.9/10
