He has got his hands on the gem of a lifetime and while he tries to cash in, he needs to stay afloat by taking his clients' property to the pawn shop, which is bad enough except he then uses the money to place huge bets on basketball games, all the while trying to avoid a gang of heavies out to get back a debt he owes. Nothing in his life seems to go right but he never stops believing he is about to hit his big pay day. A really good performance of a terribly annoying character, I really liked this. 9.5/10

And that girl with the great arse makes the movie even better i have to say never really been into Italian women but she is sweet.

Bad Boys for Life 7/10 - much better than i expected, plenty of action, some good laughs and the chemistry between Smith and Lawrence is still there.

Birds of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn/Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey

I liked it rather then do the usually review I thought I do something a little different. Most films have a plot going from A To B To C with this it’s a little different as Harley is narrating the film because she’s mentally dysfunctional she’s explaining things but missing things but then going back to explaining the missing part of the story at first it does seem really weird but when all the jigsaw pieces fit together everything makes sense with the plot and cheaters which I found refreshing. It is pretty violent which I get why it’s a 15 rating.
Things I didn’t like I wish they given focused little more on certain characters and personally I would have given it a different title the new title it was given “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey for me is what it should have been called in the first place. There is a very funny end post credit scene at the very end regarding Mr Wayne lol.

Anna 2/10 - i was planning to buy this as its the sort of dumb action movie i tend to like but this was really bad. Its just a rip off of much better movies including Atomic Blonde, John Wick, Red Sparrow and Nikita, the film constantly rewinds to explain why plot points are happening, the twists you can see coming a mile off and the main stars acting is very poor. The once great Luc Besson needs to hang his head in shame.

Thank god it was free on amazon prime.

RE: Last film you watched
The Lighthouse - I found this a challenging watch, giving up after 40 minutes but coming back the next day to finish it off. A tale of two lighthouse keepers in the nineteenth century. Willem Dafoe is a grizzled old-timer who arrives for a four week stint with his new companion Robert Pattinson, and from the start there is tension between them, caused by the power imbalance of boss and underling cramped together, neither one being comfortable at conversation.
The idea of a lighthouse keeper being a jolly old soul who sits around smoking his pipe and keeping the candles lit is far from the case, the job looks like a nightmare of drudgery, emphasised by the black and white and gloomy look to the film, and it soon gets to both of their minds. Hallucinations, paranoia, hidden secrets and superstition build up until the rations run out and all they have left is a crate of whisky. Then it really gets weird. Dafoe is a frightening character to be trapped with on an isolated rock, veering from making theatrical speeches to dancing a shanty to suggesting he has some sort of sexual relationship with the lighthouse light. Pattinson can't take it any more and they descend into the inevitable madness and its consequences.
Unlike anything else around at the moment, the sound of the foghorn will be ringing in your ears for days after you see it. Difficult to mark out of ten, the dialogue seems more suited to a stage play but the photographic art is impressive. Be interesting to see anyone else's views of it.

(oh and the end credits includes "chief seagull trainer")
