Top Gear

Decent fun this week, although the shed-on-wheels seemed more fun than most of the proper cars. KSI is someone whose career suggests I'm getting old.

I've never heard of KSI nor do I want to. I just knew that Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff was going to come a cropper when on that rocket cart and I did laugh when Damon Hill breathed a sigh of relief after telling Chris Harris to get out of the car. I am not sure about McGuinness, he gets on my nerves at times and I did wonder why he got the sexy Sabine and not Flintoff who was lumbered with the Stig.

A steady end to the series. Nice lengthy tribute to Colin McRae, who managed to be a big success and stay Scottish rather than British

Dave showed another 4-part compilation series over the weekend, called "Ambitious But Rubbish". It proclaimed to have been first broadcast in 2014, but IDK where. Not in the UK, I suspect. Hammond presented them all in vision. Some bits were more complete than in usual Dave repeats eg own-made police cars (I've seen on YT there are a few accounts which show "extras" from DVDs or their website which are often fun stuff).

Top Gear is also one of the shows where filming can now resume, with social distancing etc

Again, the best bits were the rarer bits, eg the level crossing safety film.

New series starts Sunday, on BBC1

A few too many cracks about being on BBC1, but otherwise a charming and thorough test of, er, Bolton.

Was a pretty funny start to the new series not sure how they managed to cope staying in a car for 24 hours whilst thought that new Ferrari that Chris tested looked sweet
