Disney+
Has now launched in the U.K. today so thought I’d start this thread so people can post recommendations on it for what to watch & thoughts as a whole.

I’ll get the ball rolling with The Mandalorian. The first two eps are on Disney+ and it’s very good.

As for content.....wow! More than worth the subscription price & then some.

Got all 10 Star Wars films that are currently out on home release (Rise Of Skywalker out in the summer)

Also got The Clone Wars animated movie too plus all 7 seasons of clone wars & all the other animated Star Wars series like Star Wars Rebels.

As for Marvel Disney+ has 20 of the MCU films (the only ones it doesn’t have is the Ed Norton Incredible Hulk film & the 2 Spider-Man films) + plus the non MCU X-Men films (most of them anyway) plus it has Agents Of Shield & the Classic X-Men Animated series. Plus of course all the various MCU Disney+ shows

Plus lots of Pixar content & National Geographic too

Disney+ gets a big thumbs up from me

RE: Disney+
Well that £49.99 for a year promo price tempted me to jump in, even though I swore not to add another subscription service on top of Netflix and Amazon.

The back catalogue is impressive but ardent fans will already have a lot of it already in their possession. Like Netflix, Amazon, Sky Originals, CBS, soon to come Apple and others, it's going to depend on the new content. Disney certainly have the big franchises to build on, which should give it an edge.

The Mandalorian was enjoyable and for me felt more Star Wars than the new trilogy. But strange how they're drip releasing the episodes seeing as most would've pirated the whole series by now lol, thanks to the UK delay.

I'm personally looking forward to Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Hopefully it's in the same tone and vein as Captain America: Winter Soldier, probably the best & most underrated film of the Marvel franchise.

RE: Disney+
The Clone Wars, i binge watched this over the last couple of weeks and it turned out to be so much better than i thought it would, the storylines fill in much of the missing details from the prequel trilogy and the animation is superb. Plus there is more emotion, excitement and tension than any of the last three movies had, especially in the last four episodes which are both dark and sad.

Highly recommended 8/10

^ I watched it as it came out, it's fantastic animation a must watch for Star Wars fans. You should give Rebels a look too.

RE: Disney+
Thanks i will be watching that next, if only the same amount of thought had been put into the last trilogy then it might not have turned out to be a bag of shit.

RE: Disney+
I agree, it's bizarre that the quality of the writing/storytelling is so much better on that side of things. If I remember correctly, the main guy behind the animated shows (Dave Filoni) will be more involved in the live action stuff from now on, he was involved with The Mandalorian.

RE: Disney+
There's a directors' roundtable for the Mandalorian on Disney+ now. Filoni really comes across as a Star Wars fanboy who is in love with George Lucas. Maybe (MAYBE!) Star Wars has found its Kevin Feige figure that can save the franchise.
