Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

^we need plentiful simple testing, therapeutics and a vaccine. until those are in place, we haven't beaten shit.

hmmmm anyone else wondering where the queen is and why she hasnt done an address or something prince charles seems to be doing a lot of what she would do even remotely like opening this hospital ?

The queen is staying at Windsor castle. She's been advised not to leave for any reason, as being 94 next month she is regarded as high-risk.

Won't be a superbug. You might be thinking of it mutating, but it'd have to be a heck of a lucky mutation.

Superbugs happen when we expose bacteria to a constant stream of anti-bacterial drugs. Hence why you usually only find these "superbugs" in hospitals. The constant cleaning and patients on some of the strongest drugs known to man, means only the most resistant can survive and some eventually do.

This will likely be a long term battle since a vaccine will be 8 months to a year out, moving as fast as possible.

In essence. Whoever isn't social distancing as much as humanly possible to reduce spread is an assh*le.

The government's focus should be:
A. Get testing capacity up / as fast as possible.
B. Get PPE made faster / ramped up and properly distributed
C. Expanding hospital capacity now if not enough social distancing was happening in the last 2 weeks in your area.
