Coronavirus - is enough being done to contain it?

Matt Hancock is wanting Public Health England to review how it records coronavirus deaths.
If someone has had coronavirus their deaths have been included in the figures even though they may have died of something not related.

One example quote was that if someone recovers and then gets knocked down by a bus it's been counted as a coronavirus related death.

But it could still be a contributing factor in death months and years down the line

Its more an arse saving exercise because the numbers are so shocking

So it would appear to some level at least, that the deaths haven't been categorised properly.

not saying there was mistakes but im wondering about the motivation of the goverment in doing this now would they be doing this if it was only a thousand deaths or 10,000 deaths

Would rather this review be done as part of a public enquiry

I would agree it should be done as part of a more wider public inquiry (and I MEAN PUBLIC) and if they hsve been falsifying or miscounting deaths and are worried about it now then it does make a mockery of the figures they have been briefing us the last few months so how much lower/higher are they actually?

I can understand the feelings people may have now over it because I am wondering just who in the cabinet is checking the figures?

But if the deaths haven't been recorded correctly they don't really know how many people have died from Covid-19 so that's the whole point.
That begs the question; how the fuck in 2020 is that even a possibility?

I thought they had acknowledged that some Covid deaths were also due to victims having had other health issues if they contracted the virus and died. So are they now saying that those deaths should not have been recorded as Covid deaths?

^ Bollocks. I’m not defending this Government but they never said it would be gone by easter, suggested bleach as a cure, recommended a non approved drug or totally lost control of the pandemic like Trump currently has.

The review of how deaths are recorded needs to be done. At present if you are 103 years old, live in a care home and ever had Covid but recovered you will still be counted as a Covid death this winter if you die in your sleep from old age. That has to be a nonsense.
