It’s being reported that Penny Dreadful: City of Angels has been cancelled.

I'm not surprised that it's been binned off, it wasn't anything like the other Penny Dreadful, it was too different and didn't have enough horror or magic.
Natalie Dormer wasn't particularly good in it either tbh, and they used her as the draw...she's no Eva Green.

Not surprised either. Had no connection to the other Penny Dreadful & there was not enough horror or magic in it as you say skully. Plus Natalie Dormer was clearly brought in to get GOT people watching & she was meh

^ I'm a bit gutted about this news. I watched City Of Angels, and yes it definitely wasn't on the same level as it's predecessor but it had some potential to progress into a good TV Show. I also agree with skully about Natalie Dormer not being as good as Eva Green (who imo was outstanding in Penny Dreadful and by far the star of that series) but I felt City Of Angels tried to take on too many narratives and steered away from the haunting magic that made Penny Dreadful so good (i.e. the introduction of characters like The Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula, Witches, Dr. Henry Jekyll and Dorian Gray - all characters that we're familiar with ), sadly this spin off to the franchise lost it's identity and although I didn't think it was bad, it was however not linked to the Penny Dreadful universe in anyway imo. This should have been a separate series - unrelated to Penny Dreadful imo.

The show was just rubbish, no real plot and far too political.

Ted Lasso been renewed for a second season.

Netflix have cancelled Altered Carbon after two seasons.

A live action Resident Evil Series coming soon to Netflix.
