RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread
agree with the above it was the best card i have watched this year, AEW got almost all the show right, only the womans match were not great,
buy in show - Serena Deeb vs. Allysin Kay - NWA World Women's Championship-
when was the last time a NWA belt was seen on a big PPV, it was a very good match from two very good experienced women, i liked the match and was better than you usually see from the AEW women, there was never any thought that Deeb would ever lose, with Thunder Rosa staying with NWA i can see these 3 having lots of great matches with each other AEW should be signing all 3 up, its funny that the best womans matches in AEW are not for the AEW belt,
match 1 Hangman Page vs. Kenny Omega - World Title Eliminator Final -
wow this was as good as expected , i would say one of the best one on one matches AEW have ever put on, it had everything you would want, both worked so well together, Omega was always going to win but that didn't stop it being a good match, its going to be interesting to see where both go after this,
match 2 Orange Cassidy vs. John Silver -
this was so much better than expected it was non stop fun , both wrestlers looked really good and worked well together, it is a match i had over looked but was really fun to watch, Cassidy won as expected but was a big moment for Silver who looks to be going places,
match 3 Darby Allin vs. Cody Rhodes - TNT Championship Match -
late addition to the card , this was a great match again, there 4 excellent match together, it was so good to see Allin have his break out moment and move into the head line position, the story of the match was perfect Cody thinking he was better than anyone and Allin never giving up, after the match team Taz attacked Allin
match 4 Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose - AEW Women's Championship Match -
the worst match of the night, it wasnt that they did anything wrong but there was just not a lot exciting happening , it had non of the fun madness of the first match they had, some times it was a ugly match to watch as they dont have styles that match well, also the fact there had been zero story build up for it ment no one was bothered, it was the perfect match to have a break from watching lol,
match 5 The Young Bucks vs. FTR - AEW Tag Team Championship Match -
match of the night, best match on AEW this year, thank god it lived up to the hype, this was the perfect wrestling match, great story through out, great in ring moves, it was non stop action, the Bucks winning was unexpected but will be interesting to see what happens, i dont see them holding it long time,
match 6 Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara - Ultimate Deletion Match-
this was totally mad, it was such fun to watch, it came for Matt's house, it had lots of stunts Sammy was nearly run over with a monster truck, it had lots of other people involved , Santana and Ortiz helped Sammy and Private Party help Matt, it also had Hurricane Helms and Gangrel in the match as i say total mad fun, Senor Benjamin was also there first time with Matt since impact, this was Matt at his mad best, it was the sort of crazy that made him a star at impact, i hope AEW do more of this with him, Matt won, seams AEW are still not ready to push Sammy
match 7 Chris Jericho vs. MJF -
a good solidly old school wrestled match which made a nice change to all the high flying and madness that had come before, it was unusual to see a heel v heel match work so will, shows how good both are, MJF winning is going to make things interesting on tv
match 8 - 'I Quit' Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley vs. Eddie Kingston -
OMG this was amazing , it was like watching a classic CZW match form 15 years ago, it was the most physical and violent match AEW has ever put on, Eddie was ready to show the world he was good enough to be a main eventer and Mox was going to do everything he could to make his friend look a million dollers, Kingston responded by turned in the performance of a lifetime, Mox took some amazing bumps, the ending was so hard core it left both men looking stars and the to hardest men in AEW , i would hope Eddie gets more shots at the top in the future,
who would have thought at the start of 2020 that Eddie would be headling one of the best PPV of the year by the end of it,
well done AEW after the last PPV not working they really turned it around
currently walking on the Sunny side of the street
