Honestly, I blame Trump, Zuckerburg and all the other social media cronies, and the owners of the mass media companies ... in that order. I don’t even really blame the protestors themselves.

Out of curiosity, I had a look at the Twitter feeds of Trump’s usual mouthpieces (e.g. Graham, Cruz, McEnany, etc.). They made all their anodyne, arse covering condemn-the-violence statements.

But what was astonishing was the responses. For every reply saying, “you caused this by spreading lies and disinformation”, there was another saying “antifa staged this to make it look like it was ‘our side’.”

Just nuts.

One country, two realities.

And it’s happening here too. This is unsustainable.

Trumps officials are resigning so fast they'll be tripping over each other to get out the door.

When the house re-sat after all that trouble to continue the counting/confirmation of the electoral college votes there were still over 100 Republican congressmen voted to declare Pennsylvania’s vote as being rigged!!! Unbelievable.

As much as B.Johnson strongly condemned the scenes in Washington, he markedly failed to point the blame where it belonged - on Trump himself! Yet another example of the long running lap dog mentality we have had towards the USA for far too long now! If we can't call out a President in his last days in office, when he has been directly and solely responsible for the reaction, and action, of his travelers, then there is no hope of us ever getting off our knees to the USA no matter what! Even though biden will be easier to deal with - make no mistake, he will be even more interventionist and portray the USA's misplaced and self appointed 'exceptionalism' and self superiority, every bit as much as anyone else! Long past time we grew a pair as a nation in our dealings with the USA.

I will forgive CNN and their description of the envoy post to NI as a 'non job'. It does speak to the reality of how americans think however!!
