The bottom has just fallen out of Trump’s approval rating.

In the 10 days since the Capitol riot, his net approval went from -9% to -21%. In four years of posturing, petulance and porn stars, this is the only time we’ve seen such a vertiginous drop in his standing. This is the stuff of Richard Nixon after the “smoking gun” tape, which is the point at which his own party abandoned him.

I guess we all wondered what “the line” was that Trump couldn’t cross. He dropped a few points after the Muslim travel ban, but bounced right back. He caused a government shutdown over a childish tantrum about his precious Wall and took a bit of hit for that, but he recovered almost immediately after the shutdown ended. Failure to “repeal and replace” Obamacare didn’t really hurt him. Charlottesville barely touched him. The Russia investigation — where Democrats and the media definitely over-reached — arguably helped him. But he was guilty as sin and caught red-handed in the Ukraine scandal (“...read the transcript!...”) and that didn’t hurt him much either.

So at least now we know. It’s the incitement of insurrection against your own government. Evidently ... that’s the line.

If Trump's mob kick off again the plan is to tow that somewhere nearby and detonate it. It'll kill anyone in the blast radius but leave the buildings mostly intact.

There is one flaw in that plan - you may kill Trump' mob but surely other innocent will also die - so wouldn't it be farcheaper to just use water cannons and rubber bullets on those causing the disturbance then sentence them to 250 years in jail?

It's not actually a neutron Bomb.... Or a Bomb of any kind for that matter. It's a container for removing bombs so they can take them to a safe location to destroy them

Did the Republic bid to ban Trump from holding public office succed? (I also hope they sought to ban him speaking anywhere in public too)
