Peter Avalon is the break out star on aew dark hes built up a big following aew have big plans for him as hes so popular there is talk that hes going to get his own pretty people faction, once on tv he was always going to get a long match to show him off, i am amazed you dont know who he is aew have been pushing him for 6 months in one of the most fun stories in wrestling last year,

I dont watch dark mate if you think that guy is gonna be a star in wrestling you are high

you should mate its used a lot by aew to move stories along and bring up wrestlers to a higher level,
and no i dont think hes ever going to be a main event-er but he could be a good lower mid card heel for them something they are lacking at the momnet, its aew seeing a gap in there rosta and looking to fill it,
i would really recommend dark to anyone though

looking at your posts about him you seam to have totally missed the classic booking his been having, its proper old school way of doing things take a popular babyface and knock him all the way down to the bottom before letting the fans enjoy his rise back to the top making him a far bigger star when he gets there,
for someone who talks about seeing wrestling done the old way you should like this as its exactly how it would have been done in the golden age you talk up, i thought you would love the slow pace take over 12 months for an angle its already made Hangman more popular than he ever was and that will only increase as he can be only a matter of weeks away from giving up the drink,

Name one example of "old school booking" where a guy who has never been on tv before nobody otherthan indy marks know who he is "adam page" comes into a company gets the first ever title match then becomes a depressed drunk then joins a group of comedy jobbers and then goes on to be a star ? Just One example please mate

The booking you are suggesting would only work if people knew or cared who adam page was to begin with... remember the show is only a year old so any new viewers will see this coming in and say oh he just in that goofy group and not bother to give a shit. If it was jericho who people know and he came in to a company a star but couldn't compete with the young stars only to find a group to help and build him up again then yeah that story would work that would be a redemption storyline but this is not that

Well then a lower midcarder should not be having a long back and forth match with the face of the company thats my point it would be like back in the day funaki having a 15 minute match with austin....

Probably not a great idea to continue and start storylines on a youtube show which less than half their viewers watch

as we have talked about some of the show i may as well review the rest of it

for me the worst show on this weeks Dynamite was Private Party and Matt Hardy vs. Top Flight and Matt Sydal,
there where so many mistakes it did get the info out about Party bing in the impact belt hunt but both teams messed so many moves up it didnt look good, it really showed how green Top Flight are they hit big moves but sold nothing and made so many mistakes when they both tried for the pin one after each other and the ref had to tell them Sydal was legal was a joke you should never see that on tv show, plus they where not tagging , its like they had a play book and where sticking to it regardless of what was actually happening in the match Hardy and Sydal couldn't save things saddly

next Penelope Ford vs. Leyla Hirsch
a good womans match for a change, Ford is always fun to watch now shes finally back fit i hope to see her pushed towards the belt once the wedding is out the way,
Leyla always impress me with the amount of moves she can do thanks to being such a good amateur wrestler, shes never going to get the belt but can see her being used a lot to carry other women to good matches,
the Taylor and Miro stuff after the match seamed a bit pointless and got no reaction from the fans,

main event MJF and Chris Jericho vs. Santana and Ortiz vs. Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager
match of the night as it should have been with so many top workes in one ring,
i was amazed how much story they put into the 15mins, and it was a lot of fun,
all 6 worked well together, i like seeing MJF screw Guevara for the win as it moving sammy along nicely to his singles run and moves MJF closer to ever breaking the group up or taking it over it to early to say what way it will go, i guess it depends it the romour of Jericho wanting to turn face in the summer happens

that was not a squash match mate it was Nick Comoroto the number one student from aew Nightmare Factory training school, aew have a lot of hope for him thats why he was allowed to hit some moves on aew number 1 star, he looked good and must be very happy with his first tv show,
the face Mox had to fight hard for the win reminded every one how good he is after his 6 weeks off, a good match that attached both things it set out to, again another example of aew not rushing things

Lol they have a lot of hope for him really maybe let his tv debut be a dominant victory over a jobber they have lots of them.. this is the only company ive ever seen that brings in monsters and have them lose straight away... could you imagine if wwe had lesnar lose straight away would have killed him off the bat aew has had lance archer, brian cage, jake hagar and they all lost within the first month of their arrival and now they are worthless

i get where you are coming from mate but think they are hoping that people have already accepted hangman as a big star in the tag division so will now buy into his singles build, i think it will work, i dont think you need to have watched hangman in ROH to buy into his redemption storyline

They should at least advertise it on the tv show they should do a advert saying this week on aew dark and list some matches...or put a star on there or something also some of them dark shows go on 4 hours they can't expect people to sit through that every week,

This company could be managed a lot better imo

Its also a bit early doing a redemption story considering the show has only been on the the air for 15 months
