Hah. Interesting to compare which sections of the journey we got to dwell on (eg Russia, China, the Korean border, the Mexican-US border) and which were not worth a mention. He admitted in some ways it was the best one he did.

4 - Sahara
Again odd to see which episodes were featured more than others, even with only 4 to work with. The last one was barely mentioned. They did bring up 9/11 happening. Palin's final comments in Gibraltar seem as pertinent now as in 2002, about the folly of trying to lock your enemies out; something the US and UK obviously disregarded.

Complete departure from the first 2 series, and they've totally ripped off the plot from the first series of Peaky Blinders.
But it doesn't matter. Anna Friel is brilliant in loose cannon mode. Looking forward to the rest of it

^^ Plenty going on to hold your interest, I managed EP.1 & 2 in one sitting which is unusual for me. The fact that Friel's real-life persona is not too dissimilar to the role she plays in Marcella, takes nothing away from the fact that her acting in this is top-drawer.

Seven Ages of Starlight
Affable run-through of cosmology. Fun at the end with the news amino acids also exist somewhere out in space, so could life on Earth have started with an extra-terrestrial push? We don't know. Or we didn't in 2012 when this was made.

It got better as the episode went on, but I'm not sold just yet. They need to fix the music level, it was all wrong.

The Great Ep.4

Loving this Comedy Drama, it has the feel of a Carry on Movie, only with less innuendo. Most of what goes on is based around sex, this episode even played out to Orgasm Addict by one of my fave bands The Buzzcocks.

Highly recommend.
