What makes his gimmick brilliant exactly ? It doesn't make any sense to me, he is the cleaner in terms of cleaning up crime scenes... what crime scenes ? Otherthan his spotfest matches, he comes out with 2 girls dressed in 80s yoga attire awkwardly dancing with brooms apparently as a joke for people who think he is refering himself to a janitor

^^ ok here goes mate, it started out as a straight character but people didn't get it so changed it to be about mocking the fans in a heel comedy way, its about heel Kenny lol at the fans who dont get it, and this got over,
its meant to be a mob character, the guy the hit man calls after hes killed someone to clean up the mess before the police turn up,
this is why the character openly claims he had lied at press conferences and is only interested in the money and the title hes a bad man,
because some didn't get it he started coming out with a mop and broom in a comedy way to mock the marks, as he grew more popular this moved into the girls with the brooms they are meant to look out of place and awkward thats the whole point,
its all about him being an over the top criminal who looks down on the fans and most other wrestles as they will always be below his level in his eyes,
its meant to be like a big boss in a video game,
hope that makes sense mate

It still makes zero sense to me and im a wrestling fan imagine somebody turning on for the first time...

The character itself is stupid, so he is the one who cleans up the mess before the police gets there, i get that. its like harvey keitel character in pulp fiction but how does that translate to wrestling ? What mess is he cleaning up ? Him only caring about money and the title whats that got to do with him being "the cleaner" thats just being a selfish heel... characters usual have something unique to them and kennys is a satirical broom

it made sense in Japan as he was 4th in line in the bullet club so someone like AJ would destroy someone they Kenny would come in and sort out any one still standing , making so no one knew what the bullet club was up to, but following the mob idea he betrayed AJ and took control of the bullet club going after the money and power and creating his own faction in the bullet club the Elite,

it dose all make sense but i get what u say about maybe needing to know what happened in japan to fully get it, but i think people are just getting to like the over the top madness of a true heel,

Aew ratings back down 100k viewers to their usual 750k after last weeks special episode...
This is quite a bad trend their big tv specials usually draw more viewers most of the time just shy of a million but last weeks was pretty much their average tv rating

How nxt is still on prime time tv with 500k viewers is ridiculous

there is a lot of talk that nxt will be moved to a different night soon, it will be interesting if aew picks up nxt wednesday fans if they could get half that would be a big jump up towards 1 million,

AEW has Registered Forbidden Door and Forbidden Portal as new trademarks,
this is after Mox was on this weeks NJPW strong TV show, and Hiroshi Tanahashi said Mox had come through the forbidden door,
it seams that AEW and NJPR have agreed a long term deal,
Dave Meltzer's has said this The deal is done, and the sides have a working relationship and The pandemic probably sped it up, but it also holds it back at the same time. The only way for NJPR to get Moxley was to make a deal,

on the womans championship Tournament AEW has decided to the japan matches on line again sadly so the only way to see the Japan side of the draw is on there website,
the first round of the Japan side went like this

Yuka Sakazaki beat Mei Suruga
Emi Sakura beat Veny
Ryo Mizunami beat Maki Itoh
Aja Kong beat Rin Kadokura

the 1/4 final is Sakazaki vs. Sakura and Mizunami vs. Kong

its been confirmed that the winner will get there shot at the belt at Revolution on March 7th,

they are saying all the usa side will be shown on tv so thats a lot of womans matchs the next few weeks to get to a show down on tv between the 2 sides before on tv before the ppv match,

i am a bit surprised they are not showing the japan woman to the bigger nmber of people who only watch on tv as people will not know whats going on,
