Winning the toss was most important thing. And England didn't.

That's why India are now in a good position at 243-3.
Lots of simularities with the last test but the other way round.

Total cockup by the umpires when England appealed for a catch off Rahane.

The ball had come off the pads and then clipped Rahane's arm on the rebound and he was then caught.

But the appeal only looked for an edge when it went past the bat. So the umpires gave him not out.

Root wasn't happy but Rahane went on to play a big shot 2 balls later which he missed and was bowled.

No change to the score but England lost a revue. (this was later given back when the 3rd umpire spotted his mistake)

The pitch is the key for me in this match.
The toss has arguably been even more important in this test than the last one.
The Indian spinners will be licking their lips already. This is not the sort of wicket where you would need a huge first innings score.
On day one it's doing all sorts for the spinners.
It's just going to get harder and harder to bat on. I don't envy England here at all.

Are they using ther same pitch or not?

Different pitch, & different soil types. You can see the pitch used in the 1st Test, it's the red one, made up of 100% red soil, this one is a mixture of red & black soil which, when given the right conditions, will dry out & break up quicker.

So basically they've prepared a pitch for a definite result, as they are behind in the series.

Early breakthrough, Ali has Axar brilliantly stumped by Foakes. 301-7. Ishant goes 2 balls later as he's caught on the leg-side.

Good damage limitation from England, Rishabh Pant continued with his six hitting in a similar fashion to the 1st Test, as he blasted his way to an unbeaten 50. The introduction of Stone worked as he cleaned up the tail, the stand-out bowling performance.
With 4 batsmen out for a duck, 2 very different fifties by Rahane & Pant & a standout century from Rohit, it's not easy to assess how good a score this is & what will be the best method of getting close to this total.
