Former South Africa captain FAF du Plessis has retired from Test cricket to focus on the Twenty20 format. The 36 year-old played 69 Tests, scoring 4,163 at an average of 40.02.

I remember his debut Test in 2012, he was named man of the match, scoring 78 & 110 no. The stat from that match are mind-boggling.
FAF batted for over 7 & half hour & face 376 balls on a wearing pitch. The 199 run partnership with his good friend AB was crucial in securing a draw.
