RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread
my review of revolution-
it started really well with a great pre show match, Maki Itoh was the first surprise wrestler of the night and i would say the best surprise shes going to be a huge star in the next few years, i can see now why AEW where pushing her so much on the womans matches from Japan in the last few weeks,
was a classic face v heel match was very fun everyone got to do some good moves and worked well together, Rebel was meant to be injured but was faking it she knocked out Rosa with her crush for Baker to get the win, a fun match

match 1 AEW Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and MJF
this was an OK match with out being great, Jericho and MJF threw everything they had at the Bucks Jericho baseball bat and Wardlow geat them, but the bucks made the big babyface comeback sadly after not selling enough they knocked out MJF with lots of super kicks before wining the match with the Meltzer pile driver ( to get the extra half a star when the rates are out on thursday lol ) this title run is still not exciting me,

match 2 Tag Team Casino Royale
i am not a fan of matches with so many men in they are always messy and hard to follow, all the complex rules AEW added only made it harder to follow, i mean its a tag match but when 1 person was elimination should lead to the departure of the team turning it into a solo match made no scene they where trying to hard to be different to the wwe,
in the match the Marshall turn heel and feud with Dustin Rhodes which i first spoted starting a couple of months back finally started proper
John Silver and Alex Reynolds where the best team and should get a shot,
Jungle Boy was the star and showed he was better than being in this type of match,

match 3 AEW Women's World Championship Match: Hukaru Shida vs. Ryo Mizunami
this was a good match it was a proper old school hard hitting Japanese match you dont see women in the usa hitting each other that hard often,
i didn't know any of the back story how 5 years ago Ryo had destroyed Shida, and aew did a good job of explaining why the match meant so much to Shida , it was the best win Shida has had as champ,
after the match Nyla Rose, Vickie Guerrero, Britt Baker and Rebel attacked Shida before Rosa made the save,

match 4 Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor vs. Miro and Kip Sabian
this was a glorified squash match thats had to points to make Miro look a star and to start to split him away from Kip it did both these things, in the end Miro looked a level above everyone else in the match,

match 5 Big Money Match: Hangman Page vs. Matt Hardy
this was a very good match from 2 good workers who told the story very well it was the best wrestling match of the night,
everything in the story made sense having Dark Order to make the save when Private Party got involved, having Page get the win and finally start the comeback i hope he joins the dark order now, been a long time coming this match for him,

match 6 Face of the Revolution Ladder Match for a Future TNT Championship Opportunity
the big surprise was All Ego Ethan Page making his aew debut he was great as tag champ on impact in his year long run and they way hes so good a promo can only help aew in story telling,
the match was good Cody played at being John Cena for the night, Page looked good introduced him self well to the new fans, Penta looked a 1000 times better than on dark the day before, Caster took big bumps doing his job, and Archer was protected so came out of the match looking like an unstoppable badass still,
it was great to see Sky get the win as its been a long build up on dark to this point so nice to see it pay off, my one worry is as Allin is not going to drop the belt what they do with him maybe work with Cody for a bit,
8 out of 10 better than i expected
next Captain Charisma Christian Cage was announced as the big signing (called it lol) i will be interested to see how they use the former WWE, ECW, NWA world champ,
match 7 Street Fight: Sting and Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage and Ricky Starks
i really like cinematic wrestling but i do get that just as many hate it,
for me this was a creative masterpiece like a little movie,
they totally hid Stings physical shortcomings and made him look a star,
every one looked really good,
Allin's Coffin Drop late in the match was jaw-dropping, some of the other bumps he took where mad,
Cage looked amazing for the stair-climbing vertical suplex spot so strong,
that was the comeback Sting wanted he looked good, the right team won in sting and Allin

main event Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match for the AEW World Championship
this was bad a shambles from start to its piss poor ending
there death match in November 2019 at Full Gear was much better and in trying to out do that it just looked stupid,
the ring not exploding at the end made the whole of aew look tin pot,
i hated it 0 out of 10
it was a slow start but between matches 3 and 7 it was a very good PPV sadly they had the worst main event i ever seen, they got a huge job to do on wednesday to explain the mess and get the fans back on side,
currently walking on the Sunny side of the street
