Hello all, I have finally go the opportunity to upload some (mostly older) videos. I see lots of people using different types of media uploader (sendvid, megafile, depositfiles etc). Is there a particular one that mods etc advocate? Or one that is just "user firendly" when it comes to uploading?

We haven't really added any video/file hosting sites to our shit list (yet), but they can all be hit and miss.

If you want to have a playable video in your post, these aren't bad, but have their issues, but all host sites seem to have issues now.

https://mega.nz/ (takes files down without a fight when reported)
https://sendvid.com/ (takes files down without a fight when reported)
https://streamtape.com/ (a bit spammy, takes files down without a fight when reported)

I would recommend using a file host that's different to the video host, just in case one or the other get taken down.

https://1fichier.com/ (my favourite, but you really need a paid account to host your files properly)
https://dfiles.eu/ (kills inactive files on free accounts, but is fairly reliable, decent uploads and downloads)
https://www.mediafire.com/ (not used it in yonks, was once pretty good)
https://mega.nz/ (I mention it again because you can use the player or have it just as a link)

Have a look at those above, but also have a search, you may find a review site that has something new or different, but at the end of the day, as long as the site is safe to use and user friendly for you and our members to download from, then you should be okay. Try a site for free before forking out any cash though, just in case it ends up being a pig.

i was just wondering if there was a list somewhere of performers who have requested that content is not posted on the site, i'm aware that Lola knight has done this but there are some threads that seem to have stopped video uploads even though they're
still active on tv and webshows

Does anyone know why the images hosted on 'PostImages' never load... the links to the hosted full images NEVER load. You always get just a blank "postimages.org" page. Not even the URL of the supposed linked image shows??

The images do load for me. The block must be on your side, maybe a browser setting, antivirus or antimalware, but something at your end.

Might there be a logical reason (or workaround) why the board appears to be shrinking in text? Have I checked/unchecked a box with "readable font size"? It's genuinely only this board where this is happening. Alice in Wonderland might be a cool book but I don't think Alice would have gone, "stone me, everything's getting smaller, what the hell!"

It got worse last night, so I've been forced to press umpteen buttons to try and work it out. In a dramatic break with tradition, I have resolved the issue
