They've found yet another variant. There's several case in Yorkshire and North Lincs. It's being investigated but there is currently no evidence it is more dangerous or more transmissible than the current strains

The boss of the Oxford vaccine team says that the epidemic could be offical declared over if the data is good on how the vaccine prevents hospitalisations, especially in the new Indian variant.

He sees the end of the virus becoming just a mild illness.

Symptoms of the variant found in Yorkshire include short Arms & deep pockets. It's said to be similar to the one currently circulating in Glasgow.

Haven't those symptoms been long established across the border?

8 area of England have been put into local lockdown to stop the Indian strain for spreading, its all same old places that have been in lockdown most of the last year, its like the people who live there never learn,

Bedford, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Hounslow, Kirklees, Leicester and North Tyneside,
the new rules are,
meet out side where ever possible,
the 2m rule is back stay 2m from people including friends and family,
do not travel in and out of the 8 area unless its an essential journey,
you must work from home if possible,

one interesting point they went into lockdown on Friday but the Gov forgot to tell anyone they all found out today after someone saw the new rules on the Gov website,

^ Untrue. They are not in lockdown. Everything that has opened as lockdown has eased is still open. What was published was guidance only and is not enforceable in law.

I would agree that how the guidance was issued is shocking but lets not spread fake news.
