The unsuccessful ones were by Bale for Wales, Alioski for North Macedonia, Malinovskyi for Ukraine and Hojbjerg for Denmark, whose usual penalty taker is Christian Eriksen.

Not a debut team but a team that was not in the Euros for years in Hungary they give Portugal a good game 5 years ago drawing 3-3 and they are underestimated in the prediction thread maybe rightly so in the end after losing 3-0 to Portugal this time around but they did not deserve to lose that game 3-0 especially with it being a deflection,pen and an inspired goal after the pen from Ronaldo won Portugal the game.

If & when Steve Clarke steps down from the Scotland job who is likely to be one to replace him? I actually think he has done a pretty remarkable job, given the reduced pool of players he has to pick from, but he has put a lot of passion & belief back into the team IMO, so that makes the game tonight which probably looks one sided on paper but actually might be a different story on the pitch. I actually now think England might not get it all their own way tonight. If anything, it should be a typical Home Nations type game and just wonder if the Home International title should be put on the line!!

I see the Scotland fans have been enjoying themselves in Hyde Park. A few of them enjoying themselves too much. I love seeing the Scottish lovelies like the Rendals and Stevie Lou but not a big hairy nude Scotsman.

Tha was the perfect opportunity to put on ahowpiece game for England & Scottish football - and we blew it.
The chances we created & missed means we are going to have to get out of this group the hard way and that is to beat Czech Republic at least 3-0 which is unlikely.

Very pleased with the Scotland performance, should real desire & were equal or better than England to a man. England on the other hand seemed lethargic lacking any real intensity. I don't know if they just thought they were the better team & if the cruised at 6/10 their quality would inevitably win out? If you can't drum any sense of desire for a derby at a major tournament when will you ever be able to ?

All to play for now for Scotland, it is a big task but I was in Zagreb to see Scotland beat a better Croatia team than this away and we I think we have a better squad now than we did then. Another performance like tonight and we are in with a good chance
