France's elimination by Switzerland last night was the first time in 45 years that a side has been 2 goals up in a Euros knockout match and still not gone through to the next round.

Earlier, Spain became the first side in Euros history to score 5 goals in consecutive matches. Their own goal was also a record, the first ever Euros own goal from outside the box.

I don't think Grealish or Saka were ever likely to play anyway. Mount is the more notable omission, if that leaked team is correct.

I don't think it's negative. Germany's full backs getting forward are the key to the way they play, so Southgate has to counter that.

In essence it will be a 3-4-3 formation which is probably the most sensible way to lineup against this current German team.

Is Mount eligable. If Southgate wants to play with wing backs then he should chose Saka at right wingback (I believe that he's played there at Arsenal). Southgate would then have the flexability to change to a back 4 if he wanted.

Grealish NEEDS to start.

Yes because Mount's last day of isolation was yesterday. Today he's a free man!

Some news reports are claiming that the leaked team is wrong and that Saka will play rather than Foden.

yeah mount finished his quaratine at 12am this morning thinking they are playing him to take care off Gundogan if he plays as worked well against him in the CL final
