Nailed it
Have the bookies made England favorites for the World cup yet?
Oh I'm sure they will soon enough, after all it's only logical, semi-final, then runners up, next one they have to be nailed on to win it
Yep with England it's one step at a time but with England that is an understatement it is Group Stage,Last 16,Quarter Finals,Semi Finals,Runners Up,Winners it's the England way.

RE: UEFA European Championship 2021
The racist abuse is sickening. Not long after the final ball was kicked, the social media abuse started. Those guys that stepped up to take a penalty should be saluted for their bravery. It must be one of the hardest things to do in sport to volunteer for that role, in such a pressured environment. Every player in the world could miss a penalty, and it could happen to anybody. Even the best players have missed penalties.
In my opinion, I think the Denmark semi-final took a lot out of the England players. The win over Spain would have done the same to Italy, but the difference for me was that Mancini reacted quickly when their game wasn't working and Southgate waited a little too long to make his changes. It might have been possible to win the game before the shootout with such changes. Of course that's neither here nor there now, but Italy over the course of the match were the better side and deserved to win it, even if the lottery of the penalties is always a sad way for it to end.
Southgate will continue for the World Cup, and I think he's right to do so. England have broken barriers in this tournament and have brought people together in a time when the country needed a lift.
As for the player of the tournament, I'd also say Simon Kjaer's actions in saving a life should have been sufficient for that award. I'd definitely include him in the starting eleven in a fantasy 23 player squad of the tournament.
I've enjoyed the tournament, it's been an escape, it's been great to see fans back in stadiums and it has made me feel like I'm in love with the game again, after an uncertain season in the league last season.
