Saw a bit of this ,all he did was new webbing and cover 4 chairs. total cost £960.He was ecstatic as well as the presenter,just a pity no one else shared their enthusiasm.If that work cost £960 we are in the wrong trade.

That show frustrates me, sometimes they do a great job of repurposing old crap, but sometimes it's daylight robbery.
I get that they're charging for their time more than the materials in most cases, but still, some just take the piss, like Jay and his one chair leg a different colour to the rest nonsense. The Scottish smithy is one of the best on the show imo, his stuff is nearly always nice and has had a ton of work put into it, I think he actually undervalues his creations.
