They are no longer using the word suspended.

So interesting this.
A year or two back it was all Only Fans, Only Fans, Only Fans....gonna save the world. Sophia Lares for one.
And now, they make an announcement that would end so many businesses, they might be able to go to another site, they might be able to set up a website of their own. But ultimately the investers in the payment companies have clout and they'd be involved wherever.
I'm reminded of the days when you'd see a card in a newsagent's window and the details of an escort, and Sunday Sport with a couple of pages of numbers, the local paper too.
All that's gone, you can't watch the channels unless you log in and now this.

Was just watching this on the news they were saying J P Morgan chase and mastercard were trying to wild there power

I strongly suspect there was no real banking problem, just like there was no real Mastercard problem. They decided themselves to ditch the porn and go after the celeb market, but didn't have the balls to come out and say it.

And it still blew up in their face

Must admit I'm thinking that a bit too. They did this to revamp themselves to chase the celeb dollar/market and severely underestimated the backlash they'd get. So when it did backfire as it did, they decided to blame Mastercard

Does this smack something of a Boris style u - turn but that looks much more ridiculous than anything Boris did?

I am not the least bit surprised if the girls are still looking for proper clarification and even if OF shot themselves in the foot I would say it will take the girls a long time to put their trust in OF again after this. Makes any piss up St66 ever tied to organise look even normal!!

I still think many are still looking for payments from them that never materialised over the years too.

I veey much think Rammy the dice has been cast and many will look at OF and go "NAAAH not for me."

I guarantee OF will be celeb only by end January 2022

Have to admit it has been one hell of a spectacular balls up and tbh many will probably not trust OF again either. I'd say to the girls : Just leave OF
and not look back and not they have blown your trust big time.

It's entirely possible OF are telling porkies of course. They've not exactly proved themselves the most reliable in communication over their lifespan. Although this could be more low level incompetence than strict duplicity.

It did occur to me that it's very convenient for them to blame one anomalous big corp after another on this. Though tbf, they never actually said "it was Mastercard" initially. That was assumption. (OF timed the proposed changes to coincide with MC's revised policy launch, which still looks a little suss but could be coincidence.)

As only vaguely informed observers to any such shenanigans, we can also WANT to look beyond the obvious sometimes. Want to see labyrinthine manoeuvrings, when the truth is is often a mostly boring prosaic pattern of ill-laid plans and arrogant dreams of grandeur not holding water.

So YMMV; we all make our judgement calls. Be careful though, because, as OF has found out here, making a call is one thing but validity can bite you severely in the ass down the road.

I reckon their ass has been bitten very severely and i will still want to say to the babes move while you can, becauase if they ever try this again, their fall from grace will be spectacular
