Yeah, yeah, Team GB won more stuff

The gold medal machine that is Dame Sarah Storey has churned out another one off the production line .
This time in the C5 time trial.

Her 16th Paralympic title.
Bonkers numbers

She's now our most successful Paralympian - congratulations to Sarah, I think on the whole, we should be proud of our Paralympians, Sarah's acheivements shows us all what we can be acheiving if we overcome any disabilty we face with positive thoughts and sheer bloody mindedness. These men and women have faced down adversity and taken it on to turn it into something positive and that is something we should learn from.

Man how those eleven days flew past! Great games as usual, Roll on three years time. We shouldn't have to wait another 3 years before we next see these athletes in action, and we have to start and continue that discussion/debate immediately!!

We simply cannot allow more time given over to the 'have we broken through now' debate. That time has past, and now we have to simply assign the calender events these athletes will participate in to a viewing platform.

No more mealy - mouthed words C. Balding. We have all seen what you take home to your gleeful bank manager from your two jobs. Enough to make a proper workers head spin. I am only interested in whether she is willing to properly represent those that she has so lauded over the last 11 days - and the 100s of millions they/we give to her and her colleagues in her other place of (subsidised) work?? Or is she to stay silent once again, and simply continue to count her 'winnings'? Same with Lee McKenzie. Adie Adepitan et al. How can they continue to take from so many, who are so underrepresented, by the corporation they represent??

I have contacted my representative on this issue to raise important aspects of it. Others should do the same! While they are at it, campaign on behalf of A. Hewitt!! How can he be deemed to be less disabled than G. Reid??

I recall feeling in 2012 that C4's coverage was the biggest and best thing C4 had ever done in its 30 years. I also suspected that beyond The Last Leg, that there would be little built on that start.

Sadly, I was right. The Last Leg still means C4 punches above other channels (kind of), but all could do better. Having Frank Gardner turn up occasionally in a studio on BBC isn't really enough effort. Think of all those unnecessary talking head news segments every day (newspaper reviews etc) and wonder why none of those people are ever disabled. Apparently people in wheelchairs don't read newspapers or have views! Not reading newspapers is probably to their credit, but that's not the point.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for political change either Though I don't blame you for trying.

How true, and no it isn't the point!!

Well that was great while it lasted!! So lacking in any vision for quality anymore we didn't even have to wait (unfortunately) for a return to the trash/car crash tv output. It even found its way into a time slot between the last events in Tokyo and the closing ceremony in the form of that god awful 'saturday kitchen' reject!! No attempt to end the last 11 days, with an appropriate value added set of programmes.
