No real surprise with Sri Lanka winning this - and by such a comfortable margin!! Ireland are not - and in my view, never have been T20 material. Just don't have the players. I wouldn't stress too much as there will always be THE world cup, and Ireland have already proved themselves at that level!!

All we need is for the ICC to recognise, that if they can increase the numbers to 14, they can go the extra mile and add two more (as was the case before) and have a proper group structure.
