This doesn't look at all fair. Group stages only work if they eventually feed through to one winner.
This would only work if each group had a different criteria. 10+, retired, whatever.
The groups look pretty random though. I really don't understand this format.

I'm with Smc, count up the nominations, top 3 are in.

How was it decided which babes were in which group?
The top 3 babes were seeded into the 3 groups. Tournament format was used to fill the rest of the groups.
e.g. Fernanda was top nominated and plays Ellie Jolie 24th nominated.

This would only work if each group had a different criteria. 10+, retired, whatever.
As mentioned in the contest rules ' One of the inductees will have been on the Babeshows before December 11 (10 years)'
As 22 of the 24 nominated girls had been on the shows for over 10 years, there was always going to be one group who didn't have a girl who had work less. Therefore meets the rule.

Process & Rules

The format is how Lovebabes wanted to run the award.

Your suggestion is something to be looked at for next year.

i personally like the new format, think its a big improvement on before, makes the whole thing more interesting and i think more likely to get the correct girls in,

RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread
Years ago I did a Rear of the Year competition on here. It was such a time consuming process, I'd never do it again. But the group stage was fun though.

Group B (Clare Richards, Cara Brett, Mikaela Witt & Alice Goodwin) was considered to be the group of death.

Group E (Stacey Robyn, Gemma Jane, Paige Phillips & Alexa Brooke) and Group H (Hannah Martin, Lynda Leigh, Madison Rose & Macy Leigh) were deadly too.

At the start I did a nominations round, then put the Top 64 into a seeded knockout round (most nominated = seed 1 vs least nominated = seed 64)

Then I did a 32 babe group stage, with 4 babes each in 8 groups (Group A = seed 1, seed 9, seed 17 and seed 25)

The top 2 from each group would then go into a seeded Last 16 knockout round (Last 16 match 1 = Group A winner vs Group E runner up)

The Quarter finals were QF1 = L16 m1 vs L16 m8, QF2 = L16 m2 vs L16 m7, QF3 = L16 m3 vs L16 m6 and QF4 = L16 m4 vs L16 m5

The semi finals were SF1 = QF1 winner 1 vs QF4 winner and SF2 = QF2 winner 2 vs QF3 winner.

The winners of the semi finals would then face off in the final, and the losers would go into the 3rd place play-off.

At the end of the competition the number 2 seed from the Top 64 knockout round, Clare Richards won.

Number 1 seed Ashley Emma finished second, and number 3 seed Anastasia Harris finished 3rd.

If you were using seedings to make the pairings then you could have had 12 ties, and then the 12 ties would have led to 6 ties and the 6 ties would have led to 3 ties, which would have resulted in 3 winners.

So why have the groups at all? I'm struggling to understand what purpose is served by having the groups? As The Silent Majority said, using groups is only viable if each group had been given a different criteria.

Personally don't think the format is the right one for this particular award given that conceivably the top 3 from the nomination round could be knocked out straight away.

^ Agreed. I’d find it helpful (and hope Lovebabes would too) if we had a debate on the competition format next year.

Thoughts which occur to me are that the vote is heavily biased toward nightshow babes and with 3 nominees each year we have space to do what other sports do and have more categories. In American Football for example they are for the next 4 years having 4 categories covering coaches, contributors & seniors as well as Modern Era players.

RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread
Hope this answer a few of the questions:

At the end of last years awards we took feedback & ideas from the members.

The main request was to see girls who were legends from longer ago to be inducted. It was also felt that we could expand the number of girls in this years awards.

We expanded it to 3 girls. And we brought in a 10 year rule for at least one of the inductees. It was planned that we may have up to 8 girls who meet the criteria.
However as 22 out of the 24 girls meet this rule there is going to be at least one girl inducted who has worked on a babeshow for over 10 years. All I did was let the tournament format run it's course. The only girls who have worked under 10 years just happen to be in group b.

There's a question about why we didn't just have 12 ties.
That's exactly what we do have. 12 ties in 3 groups. Each group has one winner, it helps to clarify this.

There's also a mention about separate categories for different girls.
It's an idea that we can examine. We'd need plans on how this can work.

No criticism intended Charles. These things should evolve (just as they do in major sports Hall of Fames). I’m strongly in favour of the 10 year category & the increase to 3 inductees and as each year passes I think we should consider ideas to enhance the HoF as we see fit.

I didn't have to make a separate group for the 10 years and over as Groups A & C consist of girls who meet the 10 years rule.

I just used the tournament format.

Thanks for clearing this up Charle i was confused to.

But if that's the case going by the first sentence quoted above , how can we get 3 different Hall Of Famers from different years if nearly all of them meet the 10 years criteria.

He meant 12 ties without any groups. Straight knock out format.
