This is the only way forward if we are to meet head on and tackle the serious issues that are facing us. Even IF it means we have to have a referendum for every policy brought forward at least WE would have a REAL SAY in the parliamentary process for once and it is not left solely to those who sit in parliament to have the final say. WE HAVE TO HAVE THE FINAL SAY.

If you want a referendum every time the government changes to a different brand of bog roll then you should move to Switzerland. I'm sick & tired of people constantly whining because they don't get their own way and don't really need more of the same.

That's a truly terrible idea, where were you not that many years ago when we last had a coalition government Tories and liberals got in bed together that didn't really work very well,
And didn't you notice that the last referendum we had nearly ripped this country apart years later people are still bitching as they didn't get there way and can't except democracy,
You already have the final say on everything every time you vote, the people in parliament vote on your behalf and if you don't like how they vote u remove them,

I don't imagine breaking up Covid parties will be high on list of priorities for the Protection Service, as long as the area is secure.

Nothing to stop them voluntarily coming forward now though.

Sue Gray's report is due to be published this week. The internal investigation was ordered by Boris and it probably seen by him before it's released.

Latest reports suggest that the report will be exactly that - a short statement of what Sue Gray has found - without all the evidence being published. Boris will see it first and it’s up to him what is actually released.

So much for transparency!

Johnson making a fool of all of us: https://youtu.be/2IKIHBTdh9Q This video points out how Boris Johnson acted like a child who had been told off by his teacher in the House of Commons on Wednesday when he was challenged by Ian Blackford of the SNP. The Prime Minister issued 'an apology' just one week before at the same dispatch box, but this week it was all a big joke to him: https://youtu.be/2IKIHBTdh9Q

Listen also to Eddie Mair (who once in a previous TV interview told BJ to his face that "you're a nasty piece of work, aren't you", re: his alleged involvement in arrangements to beat up a journalist) on LBC from a transmission over a week ago: https://youtu.be/2zJ8kMeqNoY (although worth listening to it all and Eddie Mair's excellent treatment of the Clown Prince, listen at least just to the beginning with the Fawlty Towers reference, and from 18:58 onward, to hear opinions of callers who are really fucking angry, grieving personal losses where they adhered to rules that meant they didn't say goodbye to loved ones and then see a PM who did what he did and even now scoffs and fains regret when the Bullshit Artist clearly doesn't really give a shit).

The Tories not reading this mood out there reveal such ignorance and stupidity; others are maybe just waiting for the report and are ready to ditch him, but have shown themselves to be absolutely gutless and cowardly to give him any benefit of the doubt. Maybe hoodwinked by his clownish, happy-go-lucky charm, like scores of others out there who incredibly give this charlatan, bounder, braggart, chancer the benefit of the doubt, who behind the mask is an entitled, lying and calculating bastard while he laughs on the other side of his face and sometimes openly.

From 2 years ago. Always found this entertaining. One of the few occasions Corbyn landed a punch on Braggart Boris in PMQs: https://youtu.be/dfzKq7W9pew.

ANOTHER PARTY - Boris Johnson had a birthday party during lockdown in June 2020 despite rules forbidding social gatherings indoors. Up to 30 staff celebrated in the cabinet room where Carrie Johnson surprised him with a cake

He goes to more parties in a lockdown than I do when there is no lockdown!

Regrettably, you could be right. He alone, as PM, decides upon appropriate action to be taken in regards to the inquiry's findings. That smirk is basically "a F""" you all" to the entire country. However, if Sue Grey's report shows his excuses as being not credible, concerted parliamentary pressure could back him into a corner. Unfortunately, so far, too many MPs are showing themselves to be utterly cowardly and shamelessly turning a blind eye to it.

Trust in politicians will reach an all-time low if this bunch of cowards let him get away with it.
