The 'Anatomy Lesson of Dr Tulp didn't feature unfortunately, but with all the rest on show (late works) on this one occasion, it didn't leave too big a hole!!

Among many of his noted skills, I reckon he isn't recognised nearly enough for his treatment of and rendering of light source. Among the very best!!
I'm a Rembrandt fan, inasmuch as I couldn't name any of his paintings, but I do think he's great, especially his self-portraits.

Cornwall's Red River
John Wedgwood Clarke, a poet, traces the story of a famously polluted river, which in some places is still polluted even though the tin mines were closed years ago.
You have to make yourself familiar with the two masterpieces (understatement) I mentioned Doddle. To say that they are outstanding works does not come close to doing them justice! I agree with you about his self portraits too! I don't know what it said about him, but he is known to have created more self portrait paintings than anyone else. Then, of course there are a number of his other works in which he placed himself as one of the characters!!

In my top 5 of all time Masters!!

Yeah, I mis-titled a series I've been watching for years. And took a week to notice.
The Directors - Wes Anderson
Only 10 films, but mostly good ones.

Hidden Wales - Last Chance to Save
Will Millard, or maybe Mill Willard, scoots around Wales looking at fancy houses, barns, mines, churches, forts and theatres to show how many derelict places there are, some of which have been left to rot, but some have been bought to be done up.
