2 episodes on Forces TV with various surviving combatants telling their stories, which were often grim, but ultimately positive.
One of the few military relevant programmes left on this once proud channel, that, at one time, concentrated solely on the armed forces with interesting documentaries which gave a deeper insight into the manner in which the men and women serving did their jobs. Also included live feeds of certain demos including - on one unforgettable occasion - a joint US/UK manoeuvres programme featuring a mesmerising Parachute jump.

What happened to this channel?? which now is little more than a poor mans UK Gold, with comedies and adventure programmes with little to no connection to the military.................I mean 'knightrider??' The Brittas Empire?? or Ronnie Corbett in Sorry. Really?? Come on??!! Surely an insult to our best and bravest??

Is it 'The Sun' newspaper - that puts itself forward as the UK's and the Armed Forces greatest champion?? more British than British?? that owns it?? Maybe no surprise then if so! Forces TV used to be a channel I found it difficult to turn away from!

Mostly as Captain Mainwaring, and rightly so.

Renzo Piano worked with Norman Foster on the Pompidou Centre and the Shard. Here, he was talking about the Parisian Palais de Justice. As a near-native of Genoa, he also talked about that bridge that collapsed, which he designed the replacement for (and waived his fee).

Series 3 starts with the above-mentioned Norman Foster, and the Narbo Via project at Narbonne. Foster's pal Spencer de Grey looked like he could moonlight as a David Hockney lookalike.

World's Most Dangerous Roads
Greg Davies and Rhod Gilbert dodge landslips in Nepal. I've seen it before, but it's one of the few from the series with repeat value.

Did "Gangsta's Paradise" and went into movies off it. Southpaw is a decent film.
The Directors - Barry Levinson
Someone I associate with making infamous films I can never quite be bothered watching (though I did manage to sit through Rain Man).
