OnlyFans says the problem was the financial sanctions in place against Russia which had made it difficult to pay creators there. However, they say after an awkward weekend they have now managed to overcome the payment problem and as a result Russian creators have had their accounts reinstated.

Saw someone on Instagram saying they had their OF account terminated/removed/suspended because they're Russian earlier today. Hope they've had their account reinstated or if they haven't, it is ASAP after this OF statement

Yes Russian accounts are back. I checked a few just now and they were all available. It looks like OnlyFans panicked and deactivated creator accounts in Russia when it really wasn't necessary.

PS. I'm sure it really was panic and not connected in any way to the owner of OnlyFans being born in Ukraine.

Only fans logo currently is in the Ukrainian national colours and good on them for doing it.

OnlyFans is reported to be looking at becoming a public company, which shows some serious ambition. It would be following in the footsteps of Playboy who became a public company just over a year ago and are now known as PLBY Group.

OnlyFans has removed Russian creators again.

"Over the past few months we have explored several options to continue providing our services to creators impacted by the Russia / Ukraine war. However due to a further tightening of payment restrictions to and from Russia, OnlyFans can no longer properly serve our Russian creator community. As a result, we are taking steps to temporarily pause accounts where payments are received in Russia."

I wonder why OnlyFans has such a problem with Russia. Other platforms are still paying Russian creators, as are webcam sites.

^Not all webcam sites. MFC have stopped payouts to Russian Studios & most models, although some models seem to have an alternative method for payments.. Streamate has done the same I believe. StripChat & Chaturbate still seem to be operating almost normally so there must be a way around the payment issues, at least for the moment.

It's worth noting that both MFC & Onlyfans are owned by Leo Radvinsky who is of Ukrainian origin so their willingness to pay money into Russian accounts may be somewhat diminished.

Yes I noticed there were no Russian models on Streamate these days, but LiveJasmin is another which is continuing to pay cammers in Russia.

This was done without any warning or notice to the creators in Russia. They just suddenly found that their accounts were inactive, which means that they didn't have any chance to cash out the money they had already earnt.
