That is part of Crucible tradition.
One quarter final out of the four always gets scheduled that way and it is usually the third quarter final in the draw.

Either way the line up looks like it's thrown up many final permutations with my smart money on a Trump - O'Sullivan final

Yeah, I've complained about it in the past, but I understand it means that the afternoon audience get their 8 frames moneys worth in the event of matches ending early.

Shame Jack didn't quite make it, but I hope he can kick on from this success.
