RE: European Championships
Probably one of the most enjoyable European Athletics championships I've seen in years when Team GB won so many medals. Mind you there were some disappointments. Lorraine Ugen a big favourite in the long jump blew it but Jasmin Sawyers was very unlucky. Thank god this time Shara Proctor was firing on all cylinders and got a deserved medal. Another failure was Sophie Hichon(probably the sexiest hammer thrower I've seen for years) who could have got a medal had she thrown to her potential. Morgan Lake in the High Jump should have been there for a medal but blew it. Katarina Johnson-Thompson did exceptionally well in the Heptathlon and will win a major gold sooner or later. I am hoping for good things for the Decathlon and Tim Duckworth(not had a decent Decathlete since Dean Macey) and being based out in the US and doing well in their collegiate system he could be one to watch for the future. Just needs a bit more muscle on him for the throwing events.
Adam Hague in the pole vault jumped a PB and must be a good prospect although we would kill for a kid like DuPlantis(SWE). I thought it was diabolical that we had no men or women in the Javelin-where is the legacy of Sanderson, Whitbread and Backley & Hill? The 100 & 200m and 4x100 & 4x400 men and women did very well and carry on a fine tradition going back years. You might gather from all this that I know a bit about this-this is because I grew up going to athletic meetings rather than football matches and I've seen a lot of highs and lows but I believe our crop of athletes can go on to win more medals at major championships for years to come.
LIVERPOOL-Champions League & UEFA Super Cup AND
Club World Cup Winners 2019-YNWA!
So long, farewell, auf weidersehn, goodbye, adieu, syonara, ha su chin and CHEERIO!

RE: European Championships
Bumping an old tread.
I have a couple of questions.
1. Why is Israel in these European Championships? Is it a simular reason to the Eurovision song contest. If so will Australia be joining next time.
2. I was watch the women doubles table tennis match.
The winners were, one girl from Austria and the other from Romania.
Do they both get a medal, and are both medals show in the totals board?
In other sports the players have to represent one country and are awarded one medal. For example the rowing eight received a medal each, but it just shows a one medal on the totals board.
