Yeah we are a cynical bunch but get a feeling a lot of the french companies are doing it for the right reasons.

Macron only wants it built in 5 years because Paris has the Olympic Games in 2024.

If there is one good thing to come out of this tragedy and that is no one was killed...we should be thankful for that

They are now saying that the most likely cause is an electrical short circuit.

well if they spent that much on advertising do they really need to spend another 200 million on notre dame

And to make it worse, the historic train station Gare de Lyon in Paris is on fire.

It may be deliberate.
