Very Touching tribute from His Majesty to the Late Queen and a very moving service from St. Paul's.
In his address, the King stated that in "a little over a weeks' time we will lay his beloved mother to rest" I can only imagine the committal will be private following the state funeral.

Atm I will say that her passing has closed a chapter of our country's history that many of us will look back on either with fondness with happiness, with sadness.

Truly the greatest head of state the World has seen. R.I.P.

The Queen's funeral will be on Monday 19th September at 11am.

The Queen's coffin with be at St Giles Cathedral Edinburgh from Monday 12th September and the Palace of Westminster London from Wednesday 14th September for the public to show their respect.

Very sad news and the end of a era. Had a feeling on Wednesday all wasn't well when the Privy Council meeting was cancelled.

Dedication to duty to the very end. It's almost like she was hanging on to see Boris out the door.

Now we know the funeral is next monday

Today the coffin will moove from Holyrood House to St. Giles in readines for people to pay respects. King Charles will receive the keys to Edinburgh from the Lord Provost

I listened to the whole service yesterday. Didn't really mean to tbh, but I caught the start of it and it somehow seemed disrespectful to change station.

Agreed, I thought it was beautiful. I've been struck by the pageantry at the events so far and the respectfulness of the crowds. Yesterdays procession from Holyrood to St Giles was (with the exception of one reported upon protest) done in almost complete silence. It was then notable that as Charles went by car back to Holyrood he got supportive cheers and applause as our new King

Approx 26,000 paid their respects in St. Giles .
She will now lie in state at Westminster Hall for four days from Tomorrow before the funeral. I found out yesterday my store is closed on Monday.
I can understand the anger at Center Parcs' decision, but surely the company could give those people on their site help in finding suitablle alternative arrangements for 24 hours.
I have heard some pubs will open early.

Been a lot SM about it from Civil liberty groups. What would he have been charged with? I have to say you are likely going to get several trying to protest on Monday.
