Just watched one of the best sporting finals in a while (apart from the conclusion to cricket's county championship) which some might raise an eyebrow at..........the rugby league wheelchair grand final! It was great value!!

NB Rugby Unions poor relation equivalent 'murder ball' could learn a lesson or two from it! It is nothing like union itself!

Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver
Ron DeSantis shows Priti Patel how it's done, Puerto Rico has serious problems, and the imminent Brazilian election looks like trouble.

The final saw the painting of Sir Ian McKellen, and also extra paintings each. The winner was one who did at least have a distinctive and recognisable style, though Ian preferred one of the others because she was also from Wigan, like him.
PAotY 2014
The winner gets to paint Alan Cumming, and trek off to New York for the privilege. This takes twice as long as the Mantel show did, and after completing the commission, he gifts Alan a 2nd painting of his own, which seemed a better work of art to me.

2 - through Kirkuk and Tikrit, and eventually to Baghdad. He does visit an impressive monument with an exterior spiral staircase which would give most folk the jitters.
