Apollo 13 (1995)

Astronauts Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon and the late, sadly missed Bill Paxton must find a way to return to Earth in a stricken spaceship following a disaster en route to the Moon. Ed Harris' performance as the Mission Control director is superb, his finest hour. Quite fittingly, his character says that during the film! Powerful, Oscar winning, true story space drama that never fails to bring a tear to the eye. Kathleen Quinlan, Gary Sinise, Tracy Reiner and Christopher Ellis co-star in director Ron Howard's masterpiece. 8.5 / 10

Avatar: The Way Of Water

Fantastic sequel to Avatar and it's been more than worth the wait as it's full off amazing special effects & excellent action sequences as we see what's happened since the events of the 1st Avatar film

Top Gun: Maverick

This film is good, don't get me wrong, and there have been some really good reviews about it but I felt somewhat (only slightly) underwhelmed. The best scenes are when the fighter jets are in the air, the action when it happens is great! - The scene between Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer was a really touching moment and it was great to see the two of them together again.

I felt the newer characters didn't shine enough to develop much interest and apart from some nostalgia by introducing Gooses's son, it felt a bit flat, to me in that regard. However this film is definitely worth a look because of the flight scenes alone Smile. It has really good action, Tom Cruise is brilliant and the flying scenes are excellent Smile.

7/10

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

This was a really good follow up to what was one of my favourite films of the last few years. The twists, the comedy, the performances, the mystery, all really well put together. The reveal speech had me in bits too, so funny. Hard to say if it's better than Knives Out. Will need a few re-watches to determine for sure.

8.5/10
