The Panthers have severed their ties with Baker Mayfield, he could prove to be an option for the 49er's shortage of quarterbacks.

^ Mayfield made his debut for the Rams last night against the Raiders.

What a debut aswell - he led a stunning comeback win, 17-16, including the Rams winning the fourth quarter by 14-3.

As Reg has said the Rams picked him up, the 49ers opted not to pursue him. They are playing down the chances of Jimmy G being available at some point in the playoffs, which they have no guarantee of making.

Excellent win for LA Chargers over visiting team Dolphins. The Dolphins were highly fancied to win that but it was good game and time management from the Chargers once they got in the lead.

Favourites Patriots at underdogs Arizona Cardinals tonight. Another upset on the cards?

I've been having some success with NFL bets recently.

Won some money on Los Angeles teams - Rams and Chargers - winning their matches recently. Rams beat Raiders after coming from behind and Chargers beat Dolphins, taking the lead and displaying good game and time management to round off the win.

Both were the outsiders against fancied, in form teams, yet both won when playing at home. Just wondered, does anyone else follow this tactic of backing the home team, even if they're the underdog? Just seems that the bookies don't care about a home advantage, but it does seem to be a game changer. Any thoughts?

No Patriots won 27-13.

But the big worry for the Cardinals was the non-contact knee injury suffered by Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. It's looking like a torn ACL which will put him out of action for a long time.
