Thundercats Ep 38 “The Demolisher” Season 1.

Litvinenko on ITV. A fascinating drama about the famous poisoning.

It also introduced me to the beautiful Russian actress Margarita Levieva, who plays Marina Litvinenko. She stays covered up in this but further investigation uncovered plenty of shows in which her pert, perfect St Petersburg puppies come out to play.

Royal Carols at Christmas; instead of Carols from Kings, it was Carols with Kings. Watched Mel C and Alfie Boe doing what seemed to be an unnecessary remix of Silent Night and thought about Craig David doing better. Little did I know he was coming up later in the same show. Sadly he did not do "can I get a re-deemer?"

Alan Yentob meets a South African animator whose rough & ready style had led him to a project in Rome called Triumphs and Laments. Also, 2 of his short films, both impressive. All repeated to promote a retrospective exhibition which had already finished by the time I got round to watching them all. Not that I would have gone.

8.1 Joan Bakewell's back for this series, though the crowds aren't, yet. Gabrielle is the pick of the sitters this time.

8.2 Gyles Brandreth manages to turn up on any old rubbish these days, so maybe it's more of a wonder he hadn't done a sitting for this show before.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan S3 Episodes 1-8 (Boxset Day marathon )

It's a bit of a Hunt For Red October / Sum of All Fears mash-up but a decent enough watch when there's only the usual selection of Christmas repeats on.

Good to see James Cosmo getting a leading part too, I've always liked him as an actor and thought he deserved some bigger roles.

Worth a watch if you've seen the first 2 series
