Elite TV/Studio66 Daytime - Discussion Thread

Come to think of it in the last couple of weeks there seems to have been a repetitive feel to Elite particularly at night. I know we have had reports of illness but it seems to me that some girls are woefully underused while others seem to turn up all the time. Is this down to Elite or the girls themselves? Do Elite stick with the proven performers who bring the punters onto the phones or do they look to provide variety with a view to stimulating more calls in the medium term? What has happened to Ava Blue for example? Julia Crown came and went as did Ali as the previous poster stated. Sam Buxton seems underused to me as does Kitty Lea and Cara Brett. I am sure you guys can think of others that don't immediately spring to my mind.
At the moment the nights seem to be Dionne Daniels, Sophia, Emily, Delta and Gemma with sporadic appearances by Alexa and the new recruit also named Dionne. Is this enough? Perhaps it is but I find myself skipping through the channels now rather than staying put as I used to.
Danica withdrawal symptoms my GP said. Apparently there's lot of it about and it's taken over from swine flu as the main male complaint in my neck of the woods.

I agree 100% that the Elite day lineup is of a significantly higher level than their night crew.
(There are a hell of a lot more natural breasts for a start!)

There's some serious talent in there but how much of it is likely to make the transition to frenzied grinding at 4 or 5 in the morning I'm not so sure.

Another daytime beauty graces our screens this morning again, this time it's the super hot Julia.
I would like to make one suggestion to Elite and that is swap round the daygirls and nightgirls for one week and then take at your figures for that week, I'm sure they would be suprised.

Exactly what I was thinking mucker. especially with Sophia and Carmen away from the night schedules for a while, the current night lineup is more than a few steps down from the staggering daytime selection.

Last night there was nothing on offer on Elite if you weren't interested in rather moody babes with dramatic cosmetic alterations.
The gap in quality between day and night right now is so conspicuous that it doesn't actually make sense.

I agree but I have to say I am glad Elite have made me look a little foolish this morning by bringing Julia back. Cosmetically altered I know but stunning nonetheless. Now if you can only make me look more foolish by getting more of your daytime girls to work at least part of the night shift........
I still feel there is a case for making the shifts shorter and switching the girls around. Recently both Danica and Ashley have endured particularly long shifts (circumstances I know in Ashley's case). Danica in particular has run out of steam towards the end of a 12-11 shift when in fact she has been required to up the ante for the last 2 hours. Isn't there a case for say 6 hour shifts? We would get more variety, the girls would have the incentive of shorter shifts and Elite ought to get more calls (not sure on the latter without a trial I guess). Elite could then suggest that in return for shorter shifts the girls could be more flexible? I don't know perhaps there are too many of the lineup that don't want to shout 'fuck me baby' while grinding away topless to the motley crew that we are.

I suspect that rather nails it.

What I can see happening is the big-hitting daytime stars increasingly moonlighting in the 9pm to midnight slot (on account of the higher earnings), to lure in the prey like Sirens before the brass tacks grinders take over for the post pub shift.

But yes it's hard to picture Cara Brett or Kitty taking time off from promoting their calendars to give faux BJs at 4.45am, Ashley has already said she's working on the principle that if you give boys too much they don't want it and as for Danica... well let's just say she's played a very good game thus far. Exemplary in some ways.

I have just got an idea. Do away with the adult chat and have the girls read from classic novels or new releases from top authors while stripping (they could even read out the dirty bits without sanction). The publishers could pay the girls, offcom would be happy as the shows would be educational, the girls wouldn't have to put up with us lot ringing in while wanking and we would be happy to see the daytime crew getting their kit off. Once we've finished, we could then settle down to a classic before bed. No, no, no I hear you say......oh well.

Something that's been bugging me for a while is the camerawork on babechannels, including Elite.

Why do so many of the shots involve close ups of the girls and loads of camera movement?

You hardly ever see the whole of their bodies on screen in one go - the cameraman frequently zooms in on one part at a time, moving the camera down to their feet then back up to their face.
And when they do zoom out you normally only get a "head down to waist" image if they're standing or sitting up.

Even when they are laying down you often have half their legs (& the sexy heels they wear) off the side of the screen - or some other part obscured/hidden by the graphics.

I know callers must be asking for close up shots of various parts of their bodies, but is every single caller asking for this, I can't imagine so?

The problems for me are:

1. As soon as the camera moves down their body & away from their face you cannot see the look on their face anymore, so you lose that "eye contact" so to speak (some of the girls themselves have mentioned this before, that they like to keep eye contact with their caller) - no "eye contact" is definitely less sexy.

2. I don't like the camera basically dictating what you can see at any one point - why can't the camera back off, zoom right out and let us the viewers make up our own minds what we want to look at?
i.e. then you'd have a choice what to look at - e.g. maybe you love legs, so you can always have them in view; maybe you're a boob man and could just look at them - but still having all the body image on screen.

3. These girls have been picked for this job because they have superb bodies - but they have great bodies because they are fantastically well-proportioned, i.e. the combination of long slim legs, tiny waist, lovely boobs, and beautiful face

BUT, how can you tell how well-proportioned they are if the image on screen hardly ever gives you a full-body shot??

4. You know the blinkers they put on racehorses, only giving them a restricted view of what's in front of them? Well a lot of the time watching these girls is like viewing them with blinkers on!!

E.g's tonight are typical of what happens:

TJ - the cameraman is doing loads of close ups on her - for the last 30 mins there hasn't been one shot of even half her body in view, always less than that.

The girl on 948 has stood up, turned round to show off her bum, but her bum's covered up by the graphics and all her legs are totally off the bottom of the screen.

Basically I'm asking, why can't the channels cater for people like me by having the camera zoom right out, get the whole body in shot, and stay like that for decent periods of time??

I've mentioned this before to some of the channels but little seems to change.

Am I in a minority of one on this, or does anybody understand where I'm coming from?

The cameramen probably get bored and just arse around with zoom. Fuck knows but i see your point.

Good post Stuey. A few thoughts

- Erotica/pornography has always been accused of lingering over body parts at the expense of dehumanising the person. In effect the reader or viewer has always been treated (in the nicest possible way) as a complete moron, being led by the nose as to what to look at next. Blame Hefner and Guccione perhaps, Elite is merely following the long worn blueprint.

-The girls sometimes have clear agendas that affect how shots are framed. Tiffany's shower scene for example or Danica's showpieces have been heavily managed to show far less than some viewers will remember having seen. Another example... in the case of watching TJ's 'nude' set last night, her aversion to being viewed from certain angles led to some ludicrously contrived shots (and wild reactions from the subject when the cameraman strayed into forbidden angles).

- Elite are getting so many things right at the moment that the less brilliant bits are much more evident. The camerawork is entry level and amateurish with shots being constantly missed, zooms and pans with no purpose, and far too often the girls clearly have to say 'not there you numpty, focus on my ass' etc. It's not necessarily better on any of the other channels though, it's just a much more obvious blip when contrasted with the areas where Elite are genuinely delivering (event management, model lineup, broadcast quality etc)
