RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government
Zac Goldsmith's resigned from the government giving the reasons that Sunak's had abandoned policies around animal welfare & the environment.

It turns out that he had been involved in the Priviliges Commitee Boris Johnson investigation.
A No10 source (whoever that can be) said "We told Zac Goldsmith to apologise, but clearly he's decided to take a different approach. We thank him for his service."

He's walked before he was pushed.

RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government
The entire social system is a mess in truth.
The NHS, education system, social care, public transport, HMRC, pensions, immigration system, prisons etc etc etc.

Brexit isn't helping matters.
The fact that public utilities got privatised hasn't helped matters either.
All about profits for shareholders over quality of service.

Sunak hasn't got a clue but I half wonder whether anyone actually has the answers to be honest. The state of the country is such an astronomically gargantuan disaster it becomes a case of moving sticking plasters around from one miserably failing part of the social system to another in the vain hope people don't actually recognize everything is totally shite anyway and that in reality we are completely fucked.

It's being reported that at an immigration centre in Kent which is used to house children who have arrived alone, Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick ordered a Mickey Mouse mural to be painted over to make the centre less welcoming.

RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government
What sums up how bad the govt and tory party are is when Rishi Sunak won the leadership, he had a year, a year to sort things out, do the right things and I honestly believe, if he had, he would have had an amazing chance of winning the next election, even tho the last 5 years or so has been a total shitshow.
Get rid of people like Braverman, Anderson etc, stop the culture wars, move the party back to the centre right, get the country moving again in terms of inflation etc but NOPE.
Still doing stuff we got when Boris Johnson and Liz Truss were doing.
The party is a mess, people I know who are hardcore Tory voters HATE this govt. It's actually embarrassing to call them the tory party.

I see that Napoleon is treading.
There's apparently a guy been on GB News saying that if Rwanda isn't a safe place to send migrants then Rishi should concider sending them to St Helena as an alternative.

His arguement being, if it was good enough for Napoleon then it's good & safe enough for them. bladewave
