RE: Webstream player problems
maybe we should cut some slack, after all it has taken spain's best architects 117 years to build the sagrada familia cathedral in barcelona, though they say it will take ANOTHER 17 years to complete. so give teaseme 134 years and maybe then the stream will be up and running

RE: Webstream player problems
Insults arent gonna get it done any quicker
Getting a new dedicated line in isnt done that quickly either... since our original one failed to work, we have had to put the streaming on the same connection as the office, so having over 3Mb of traffic on a 4Mb line that other people in the office are using as well wasnt going to be good enough, so we had been getting quotes on a seperate line, which again takes time.
However did get one put in yesterday evening, but was up till midnight doing some changes to the player... still need to put the full screen button
Oh, and as for the "profressionals", we will most likely be putting a cut off point on the stream as that is what the profressionals do.
Sorry, I can be a sarcastic sod at times... it wont be that short a cut off point though... and the upside of this is we will most likely be putting a higher-res feed out at some point soon as well... but Im not sure if that is the right thing to do, Im not a profressional after all

RE: Webstream player problems
OK, sarcasm aside, have been trying my best to get it sorted, and if its not been one thing going tits up, its been another, and if not that, Ive had other things to sort out at work too... can often see me "throwing" myself down the stairs in attempt to sort something out, or getting a cold sitting in our machine room on my own. It's not like I been sitting back and watching a blank webstreaming site the whole time
Had got the connection fixed yesterday but when I went to put everything back up, found out our streaming hosts DNS was playing up so had to call them about that, which wasnt resolved till 9:45pm last night, so in an attempt to speed things up, was having to play around with HOSTS files and what not, but didnt have time to setup the control facility for producers before I had to get last train home.
PS. Alot of "experts" get 3rd party companies to do all the work, where as Im trying to learn to do all the bits and bobs myself... looks like I couldn't resist once again
